Course Description

This course is designed to enable students to explore various career opportunities within the Information Technology Cluster, including the Network Systems Pathway, the Programming and Software Development Pathway, and the Web and Digital Communications Pathway. The course covers all parts of the interview process, as well as the benefits and uses of a career portfolio. In addition, the course covers essential skills needed for success in the workplace, including professional communication, decision making, teamwork and collaboration, employability skills (e.g., problem solving, critical thinking, and leadership), and ethics in business. Product planning and development, maintaining a safe working environment, written communication practices, effective reading strategies, and mathematics in various workplace settings are also discussed.
