IBCs represent industry-valued skills that lead to employment and act as a springboard for higher levels of achievement to ensure students’ independence and success in life beyond high school; hence, IBCs are one of the measures to demonstrate college and career readiness.

SC’s are certifications or ​achievements that enhance the ​student's employability or ​skill set.

These certifications will also ​prepare our students for the ​advanced-level IBCs they will ​be introduced to in their ​pathways. These are not on the ​TEA Approved List of Industry ​Based Certifications.
