Course Description
This course explores key skills for success in the healthcare industry. Topics include collaboration and cooperation, ethics and liability, and patient rights and choices. Also discussed are mental health, mental illnesses and disorders, addiction, childhood stress, and more. Students will also examine family health, positive relationships, and communication styles. Students will explore the attributes and skills of effective interpersonal communication and relationships in both a counseling and workplace context. The course covers topics such as teen issues, conflict management, decision-making, employability skills, business ethics, and more.
